September 1 – November 30, 2026
Finish your book. Or start a new one.
Whether you’ve got a novel-in-progress, a memoir-in-jotted-fragments, a hybrid draft, an idea you’re ready to start writing to, or if you just want to show up, experiment, and see what happens—come with your curiosity and your willingness to surprise yourself.
This three-month immersive online workshop is built around two core commitments: writing into the joy and getting the book moving. With weekly assignments, peer critique, and direct feedback from Ariel, you’ll dig into the full foundation of a manuscript—concepts, characters, beginnings, plots and other structures, and creative complications—in a community of writers who take the work seriously, take themselves lightly, and show up for each other.
Open to writers at all levels working in all genres. Beginners welcome. Grumpy old seasoned authors also welcome.
How It Works
The majority of our work takes place on a text-based asynchronous forum—log in when you like.
Optional monthly Zoom meetings are held the first Sunday of each month, Noon–2 pm Pacific / 3–5 pm Eastern, and are recorded for those who can’t attend.
